LETS MAKE SURE THOSE EYES ARE FRAMED RIGHT!

While we can debate whether or not having a little bit of scruffiness in facial hair is sexy, scruffiness in eyebrow hair is always majorly un-GLAM. Not only do eyebrows serve as a means of expressing or conveying emotion to others, they also can either hide or highlight your facial features. Needless to say, you want to do the latter and not the former. Right now, the ideal men’s eyebrow is neither “plucked to perfection”, nor “laissez-faire levels of furriness”—it is a very lightly groomed, well-kept and natural-looking eyebrow. So, without further ado, here are a few things to keep in mind when you are toying with grooming your brows.

Do’s and Dont’s of Eyebrow Taming –

tweezerTWEEZERS ARE YOUR FRIEND

Utilize a pair of high-quality tweezers in order to pluck unsightly brow hair. Don’t go too crazy though and only remove brow hairs that are drastically straying away from your eyebrow. Tweezers also come in handy when dealing with ingrown hairs or splinters, so picking up a pair is kind of a win-win.

ELECTRIC HAIR TRIMMERS

clippersElectric hair trimmers can be a brow-grooming asset. ‘Can’ is a really important word to note here. If you have the expertise to remove and shape your eyebrow hair with electric trimmers, go for it. Be sure to always use the cutting guards since not doing so means that you are upping your odds of experiencing an accidental eyebrow shaving.

ONLY WAX IF REALLY NEEDED

Wax will remove all of the hair around where it is applied. This means that you should only reach for wax if you are aiming for very linear, pronounced brows. You might be telling yourself that you have what it takes to achieve natural-looking, face-flattering brows via waxing, but we promise that it is not worth the risk.

groomerCOMB & CUT

Combing up and cutting is a solid step for all men. Take a small brush, splash a bit of water on it and comb your eyebrows in an upward motion so that the brow hair is plastered above your brow line. Take a small pair of scissors and cut the tips of all of the brow hairs that pop up above your upper brow line so that none of them protrude above said upper brow line. This will clean up your brows a bit and will give them a neater look overall.

You can repeat this routine every 4-5 months. Honestly, doing this and then plucking pesky rogue brow hairs with tweezers as they pop up is probably the best eyebrow-grooming option out there.
