“I am a military raised model stationed in Calgary AB touring internationally and loving every minute of it. I recently hooked up with Ascent Xmedia and have been shooting adventure tourism for Getty images. I starting modelling when I was an awkward string bean of a human I learned quickly how to work what I have and not get too hung up on trying to be perfect. I like to joke around, talk shit and have fun with the teams I get to work with. I am always pushing for something new and different in my portfolio and have been so lucky to meet friends in the industry like George that like to play and try new shoot techniques. You can check out my work on my IG model page @stephanie.mosher or follow my journey through my personal page @steph_mosher my Model alias and high school nick-name is Mo and you can find me on FB under that name 😉 “
What do you do when you are not modelling?
I am the Executive Director of Groups for Dalton Timmis Insurance Group, I love my work- they support my modelling and I get to advocate for my groups and save people time and money.
Do you often take your furry companion? What is the little critters name.
My Morkie is named Barkus McRuffus he is a lickster and the cutest little munchkin I’ve ever seen in real life! He is my Velcro dog, stuck to me whenever we are together.
Are you single or ready to mingle?
My man and I have been together for 5 years and he is a Greek machine, sexy smart and handsome as hell!
Where have you travelled and where has been your favorite destination thus far?
Last year I went on 3 modelling tours: Paris, UK and Vietnam – all were amazing but my favorite place to go is the Cayman Islands, I lived there for a year and fell in love with the reefs scuba diving.
Do you have goals for modelling?
I want to keep doing what I am doing, tour more and shoot with photographers at least as talented as George Dimitrov.
When did you begin to model? Can you tell us about your first shoot?
I began to model when I was 18 years old. My first shoot was in a school playground in a very little design barely covering the girls. It went really well until the bell rang and we realized it was a year round school and kids were pouring out of the doors. We quickly got dressed and ran away before someone thought we were a group of creepers!
Do you have any pet peeves when working with photographers?
Not really, I think communicating well with anyone I work with is an important first step. Once the lines of communication are open- if something bothers me or my team we clear it up and move on. We are all there for great shots, talking about our expectations before hand make for successful outcomes.
“I love running and yoga. We are buying our first house this year! And I cannot wait to decorate it. I love my dogs too damn much me and they are spoiled rotten. I am a massive Star Wars fan. I went to Disney land this year and got to hangout for three days surrounded by all things Star Wars! It was the best! David and I are excited to run a half marathon this year. That’s our Biggest goal for the new year! “
What sparked you to go into modelling?
I was scouted while at water park when I was 18. I landed a few high end fashion jobs with international photographers and magazines. I spent three years modelling through Canada and the USA. Now, I am much more casual!
What kind of life do you lead on average?
I love yoga, my dogs, and my best friend/partner in crime, David . I am excited to finish a degree in Social Work and move forward from there. I am a huge book worm and can never get enough to read. If I ever am lucky enough to adopt a baby-her/his name will be Anakin #darthvaderfan
When did you know your hubby was the one?
We met in high school and I moved into his house at 16. We were best friend until 18 and have been together ever Since!
What was your first date like?
I hardly even remember A first date. We had had two years of amazing friendship and when we both realized it could be more than that – there was just a lot more physical contact!
Do you plan to have a family one day?
Who knows! I have two amazing doggies and that is enough for now.
Do you have any goals as a model in the future?
I enjoy casually modelling when it fits into my schedule. But I have other goals, now, more based in education and humanitarian work!
What has been the highlight of modelling so far?
I’ve enjoyed the contacts and friends I’ve made throughout North America. Traveling is fun and working in California is THE BEST.
