NIO EVE, our vision car, showcases the future of autonomous driving. From daily commuting to road trips, from school runs to nights out, EVE constantly learns about its occupants and their preferences. It is a digital companion, a robot on wheels.
At the heart of Nio Eve lies NOMI, a digital companion powered by artificial intelligence. NOMI constantly learns about its passenger’s interests and tailor’s information to meet their individual needs. Two physical embodiments of Nomi can be found at the front and rear of the vehicle.
The comfortable and spacious interior reflects more a living environment than a mode of transport. The seating layout is designed to deliver flexibility and an enhanced feeling of spaciousness. It can accommodate six passengers in its five permanent positions and folding seat.
In the primary seating area two facing seats surround a discrete fold-out table to provide a multifunctional space that can be used to entertain or be productive. The forward two seats, accessed from the main interior, enjoy a panoramic view allowing passengers to enjoy and discover the scenery around them.
Though EVE is primarily intended for enhanced autonomous driving, the steering and pedals can be activated when required so that manual driving can still be experienced.
Active glass across the entire upper canopy becomes a canvas for NOMI to provide an augmented experience, delivering everything from personalized information to entertainment.
Tactile controllers positioned discreetly within the vehicle allow passengers to adjust and interact with their surroundings with just the slide of a finger. The traditional dashboard has been replaced with a transparent plane in the front cabin that gives an open feel to the cabin whilst displaying personalized content.
EVE’s augmented windscreen allows occupants to explore and learn about the world around them supported by NOMI’s intelligent suggestions and inspiration.
The surface across the side of the vehicle can transform from opaque to transparent in an instant, allowing occupants to shield away from the sun or see all the way to the horizon.Once EVE has been summoned remotely, it can be accessed through a single wide forward-sliding door.
Nio Eve is designed from the inside out for autonomy.
