Torino Piemonte Contemporary Art
It has been for several years that Torino and Piemonte in general have been considered not just a national but an international focal point for contemporary art thanks to the interconnecting between public and private organisations, collections and foundations, museums and galleries, whose work in the field of visual arts and performing arts results in a multitude of internationally recognised exhibitions and events.

This has made it necessary in recent times for a communication programme to be created for the Contemporary Art system – ContemporaryArt Torino Piemonte – developed by the City of Torino with support from the Fondazione per l’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea CRT in collaboration with all the organisations and institutions working in the field of Contemporary Art.

The extensive programme of initiatives and events characterising the system all year reaches its peak in November, now traditionally considered the month of contemporary art. In order to accommodate and more effectively promote this cultural heritage, the Contemporary Art Autumn Special was initiated in 2007.
Autumn is the period when there is a concentration in town and the region of not just visual art event but also music, theatre, video art and design, all distinguished by innovation, research and cross-influences between the arts.
