“Hello VOLO! I am Camyle, let me share to you the story of my huge family. My older sister and brother from my father’s first marriage are half African American and my sister and I are half Japanese. The two siblings that joined, one of Chinese descent and the other half Columbian. So you can imagine the many places I have traveled to and the many languages I understand. It has been a huge impact on my life.
I completed my business degree and started working straight out of college as a sales representative for a jewelry company. From there I became VP of sales for the West Coast. And then, I changed interests and started working for Insomniac.
Educationally, I was interested in the sciences right out of high school. So naturally, I woke recently and decided that I needed to revisit my interest in nursing school.
Now I am on my last journey for my life career, but I will always keep my hobby as a model current. It has been the one thing that has kept my confidence as a woman. It is hard to feel pretty every day. And, not to mention the lifelong relationships I have made with some of these incredible photographers. To date, I have probably shot with about 30 people. I never say no to a good collaboration because you never know who you will meet and the art you will create. I will have these to show to my kids one day! So I am truly blessed.
Thank you again, Volo, for the third feature in your magazine! I am hoping to keep going!
Interview with Camyle
It has been a while, what have you been busy with over the months since your last feature with us?
“Well, I decided to go back to school and fulfill my dream of being a nurse. I will be getting my bachelors of nursing in two years. I wish I could say more, but school has taken up a lot of time.”
Any exciting projects you’re included in on?
“I am not one to stay at home. Although, the older I have gotten the more I love to be home, change is always the key to success. Making new challenges for yourself and pushing the limits. I have decided to take on ballet again. I used to when I was younger, but I decided to try again. I will keep you updated with my progress. :)”
Are you ready for the holiday season? What do you usually do for the holidays?
“I love the holidays. Well, lets say I love Halloween the most, but Christmas is big for my family. I have an extended one, so we make a point for us all to get together. My favorite place is Colorado because we go up to Aspen to ski or snowboard.“
Have you been naughty or nice?
“Nice of course (*smirk) but I think we should let Santa decide.“
Who will you be kissing at midnight on New years?
“I never kiss and tell. My mother taught me that, but for sure my nephews. They get so many kisses from me.“
How do you keep your figure during holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas?
“I have recently tried to be raw vegan. I am not strict, but the diet restrictions have helped my figure a lot. I am a huge advocate for soul cycle. It is what keeps me in the best shape.”
What are some 2018 goals you have?
“Get more sleep, drink more water, continue exercising, read more, get more organized, clean more often, explore more, relax more, have more patience & try my best.”
